Cervical spondylosis, also known as cervical osteoarthritis or neck arthritis, is a common age-related condition characterized by degenerative changes in the cervical spine (neck region). Over time, the discs and vertebrae in the neck undergo wear and tear, leading to various symptoms and structural changes. Cervical spondylosis is primarily a degenerative condition that occurs with aging. As people get older, the discs in the spine lose water content and elasticity, leading to decreased disc height and increased risk of degeneration.
