Fever

Fever is a temporary increase in body temperature, often due to an illness. It is a common medical sign that is part of the body's natural response to infection and other conditions. Normal body temperature ranges from 97°F (36.1°C) to 99°F (37.2°C), and a fever is generally defined as a body temperature of 100.4°F (38°C) or higher. Fever can be beneficial in fighting off infections, as it can enhance the immune response. However, high or prolonged fevers can be a cause for concern and may require medical attention. Antibiotics for bacterial infections, antiviral medications for viral infections, or other specific treatments for underlying conditions.
